I'm a designer at my core, with experience across a wide array of design roles. I have experience leading both product and marketing design teams. My background spans identity design, web design, mobile app design, trade shows, videos, and user experience design.
I started my first business in high school designing logos and web banners. In college I worked for a dot-com startup during the summer, income from which I used to design and print a bunch of t-shirts that I sold online out of my dorm room the rest of the year. I built a web design studio out of college that increased 50% year over year until joining Mural to build out an internal creative team to tackle some much larger projects. At Mural I managed design and consulting teams for some of the worlds largest technology companies, helping them improve their user experiences, and ultimately their bottom lines.
In 2011 I moved to San Francisco, where I teamed up with some really smart guys at Selligy to build the next generation of sales tools, starting with a revolutionary mobile app. Our field sales iphone app landed us a Series A investment from Salesforce and DFJ, won Founders Showcase, was featured by Apple in the app store, and won praise from Gartner, who named us a 'cool vendor' in 2014. Selligy was acquired by Veeva Systems in 2015.
I am often restless, and have had many entrepreneurial exploits. I've built a web hosting business from scratch. I've invented a new kind of tree lopper that's been licensed to Fiskars and is in stores now. I've even assembled a team to come up with new fried concoctions for a state fair (we came up with some amazing fried buffalo chicken & mozzarella balls, among other delights).
I'm currently a Director of UX at Veeva Systems, working on future products.
